The Self-as-an-End (SAE) framework is a structural normative theory that asks: under what conditions can a subject exist as an end in itself rather than as a means for external system objectives? Its core operation is the chisel-construct cycle (凿构循环)—a self-executing logical process that derives a 16-level dimensional sequence (0D through 16DD), from the pre-structural negation of Hundun (浑沌) at 0D to the mutual non-doubt (双向不疑) of fully realized subjectivity at 16DD.

The framework's key structural concepts include the Base Layer / Emergence Layer distinction, Fork Rights as the institutional form of freedom, the remainder (余项) as that which survives every act of chiseling, and true randomness × structured time as the cosmological ground of subjectivity. Applications span normative social theory, AI consciousness, philosophy of language, cosmological physics, civilization history, and the history of philosophy.
