## What this site is

Self-as-an-End (SAE) continues Kant's critical method under twenty-first-century conditions. Its central question is: under what conditions can a subject exist as an end in itself rather than be reduced to a means within a system? Its working language is the chisel-construct cycle (凿构循环) and the sixteen-level DD sequence (1DD–16DD), preceded by Hundun (浑沌) at 0D. At 16DD, mutual non dubito (双向不疑) names the intersubjective encounter of two subjects who cannot be reduced to or absorbed by one another.

Negativa (非) is, among the foundational candidates examined so far, SAE's sole performative axiom: denying the existence of negation enacts negation. This warrants Negativa's status, not the automatic derivation of construct, remainder, the cycle, or the DD sequence. Those are working postulates whose steps, branches, and jurisdiction remain open to criticism and replacement. A remainder does not force the next cut; continued chiseling requires a subject to negate once more, and the subject can stop.

## Key concept glossary

Negativa (非): SAE's sole performative axiom among candidates examined so far. Any denial of negation must itself enact negation. This status does not make the rest of the framework its automatic theorems.

DD (Dimensional Degree): The sixteen working positions of the DD sequence (1DD–16DD); 0D/Hundun precedes the sequence.

Chisel-construct cycle (凿构循环): SAE's working structure for the sequential cognitive labor of demarcation, sedimentation into constructs, and the remainders left unexhausted. It is not self-executing; continuation requires a subject's next act of negation.

Remainder (余项): What an act of cognition leaves unexhausted. SAE undertakes remainder-indestructibility as its strongest postulate and conservation as a weaker postulate. A remainder opens room for another cut but does not force one.

Fork Rights (分叉权): The institutional form of freedom in SAE.
